Politics and Prose, Washington DC - The Pink Line. Mark Gevisser in conversation with Colm Toibin.

Colm Toibin has long been one of the most significant influences in Mark’s writing, and he is honoured to be sharing a platform with him. In his Guardian review, Colm described The Pink Line as “astute”, “nuanced”, “engrossing” and “almost novelistic”: “[Gevisser] sticks around; he finds people whose lives he can follow over a couple of years. He hangs out with them, enjoys their company; he renders them in all their complexity.”
